Use

PYthon is a slow-release, plastic ear tag containing a synergized formulation of zeta-cypermethrin, a potent, enriched S-isomer pyrethroid compound. This insecticide has excellent activity against many pests, including horn flies that are resistant to certain other insecticides. A high loading of piperonyl butoxide synergizes this S-isomer and dramatically reduces the effect of pyrethroid resistance.Controls horn flies, face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks and spinose ear ticks. Aids in control of stable flies, black flies, house flies and small horse flies.

• Labeled for use on beef and dairy cattle, including calves and lactating dairy cows.
• Controls horn flies for 3 to 4 months with one tag/head and up to 5 months with two tags/head when used in an insecticide rotation program.
• Controls face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks, and spinose ear ticks for 4 to 5 months with two tags/head. Aids in control of face flies with one tag/head.
• May be used in winter for lice control.
• Requires no withdrawal time.
• Ideal for rotation with all other insecticide ear tags for management of insecticide resistance. Such as OPtimizer ®, PYthon II ® MAGNUM™, XP 820, MAX 40™, TRI-ZAP, or GardStar ®.

Administration

Apply with the Y-TEX UltraTagger® Plus or the Y-Tex Ultra Tagger Compact. Tags are effective for up to 5 months.

Storage

Store in a cool place in original container, away from direct sunlight. Opened bags containing ear tags should be resealed for storage.
